Family Practice, Eastern Utah:  Because of large community growth and the retirement of a part time FP, hospital is looking to bring on a Family Practioner who does OB.  Physicians are booked out far in advance.  There is a large volume of work available.  The guarantee will be around $190K net plus overhead of about $170K.  Additionally, hospital pays for ER call which would be another $8K a year.  As an option, hospital could accommodate someone coming in solo private practice and sharing call and perhaps office overhead.  Call is 1:6 or 1:7.  Relocation paid and possible sign on bonus. 2010 candidates welcome.

Pediatrics, Northern Utah:   BC/BE pediatrician is needed to join a group of nine BC pediatricians.  Work a 4-day work week.  PALS certification required.  Employment.  Guaranteed 1st year salary with transition to compensation based on productivity.  Full benefits.  Relocation provided.

Ob/Gyn, Central Utah:  Solo practice to share call another.  This is open due to the growth and needs of the community.  Call 1:2.  Income guarantee amount of $300K - $350K plus all overhead expenses paid.  Relocation paid and possible sign on bonus.  Can walk in and be busy immediately.  Average 35 deliveries per month.  A very large volume and wide variety of procedures are available including uro gyn, incontinence, slings, etc.

Family Practice, Central Utah:   Solo practice to share call, office, and overhead with five others. Relocation paid and possible sign on bonus.  Malpractice is paid, call is 1:6.  Income guarantee amount in the $170K range + significant overhead expense allowance.

General Surgery, Eastern Utah:  There is a strong need for a general “bread and butter” surgeon.  Practice is growing and part-time surgeon wants to retire.   The opportunity is to share a newly built office and call.  A candidate can also do some peripheral vascular, trauma, thoracic, colo-rectal, plastics, laps, etc if wanted.  The ability and willingness to do scopes is an important part of the qualification for this position.  Doctor did 813 cases in 2007.  $300K a year is very reasonable and more income is possible if physician is aggressive in marketing to the community.  Gross collections guarantee or salary with full benefits package if hospital employee.  There is a collections guarantee with income of $325K - $350K net plus about $200K in expenses and a $50,000 sign on bonus.  Call paid if they have 24/7 call.  Call is $85 a day during a weekday, $170 for a weekend, and $250 for a holiday.  Call is 1:2.  Relocation paid and possible sign-on bonus. 

General Surgery, Central Utah:  A huge need due to growth and replacement of general surgeon who left to be closer to aging parents.  Opportunity is to establish solo practice to share call.  A bread & butter surgeon with the ability and willingness to do scopes is needed.  Additionally, a candidate who could also do vascular, peripheral vascular, thoracic, trauma, plastics, colo-rectal would be welcome, though this is not a requirement.  Relocation paid and possible sign on bonus.  A collections guarantee with income of $300K-$350K plus about $200K in expenses.  Call is 1:2.

Urology, Eastern Utah:  Wide open market.  Hospital currently has a Urologist that comes to two times a month on locums, but there is more than enough volume to support a full time Urologist.  The person could either set up 100% in town or have a satellite office.  Laparoscopic, adult, pediatric, and adolescent work is available.  This is a solo hospital based employed salary position.  Candidate WILL NOT have to be on call 24/7.  Compensation in the $400K -$425K range net with full malpractice paid, comprehensive benefits program including major family medical, dental, life, and disability.  There is a matching 401K program (up to the first 3%) as well with paid time off.  Relocation paid and possible sign-on bonus.  2010 candidates considered.  95% of practice earnings are paid to the physician as a bonus.  The first year is risk free and in the second year there is a practice loss allowance that will not impact physician earnings.  Position needs to be for someone who can start and grow a new practice.  They will have a new office in a new medical office building attached to the hospital.

Ob/Gyn, Eastern Utah:  The hospital had 27% percent growth year.  Many young families are moving to the area for work.  There is a strong practice to be had by customer service oriented, quality physician.  There are 2 OB’s now and 2 FP’s that deliver.  The opportunity is to join a well respected and established OB and share call, office, and overhead with him, or to occupy a space adjacent to him and still share ER call with all docs and be able to check out to the OB on call.  Partnership could develop and the formation of a single specialty group for the right physician.  Three newly renovated birthing suites with five very large post-partum rooms are available for delivery of over 450 babies a year.  Call would be 1:3 – 1:4.  Compensation is $300K - $350K net plus significant overhead allowance in the area of $200,000.  Relocation paid and sign on bonus of $50,000.  Office will be in a brand new office building.  Expansion of hospital obstetrics area is in the early planning stages. 

Pulmonary/Critical Care, Southern Utah:  Need one BC/BE pulmonary/critical care/sleep medicine physician to join a group of two pulmonary intensivists.  Call: rotate both night and weekend with existing pulmonary intensivists and one community physician.  Coverage for ICU, critical care consultation of medical/surgical floors, pulmonary clinic.  Physician will also work in the sleep lab.  Employment position with very competitive salary.  Full benefits. Relocation provided. 

Emergency Medicine, Eastern Utah:  Opportunity is to join an LLC of physicians working only in one ED.  Occasional trauma (between 50 and 75 cases per year).  FP that has strong experience considered.  ABOM and AABS boards are both acceptable.  Mostly  Level 3 care in the ER.  $180K guarantee.  The guarantee will be paid back by the end of the 12 month guarantee period.  The position is paid based on collections and candidate will be part of this independent group that is not subsidized by the hospital.  Collections will likely be in the high $275K range with the physician paying taxes, mal practice, and a 12% collections fee out of that.  Shifts would be shared 1:4.  Relocation paid and possible sign on bonus.  750 admissions a year of the 12,0000 ED visits.  Stable nursing staff, two nurses on the floor.  Average of 15 shifts per month with about 1 month vacation.  Malpractice runs about $20-$25K a year.  Retirement plan available through group.

Neurology, Eastern Utah:   Opportunity is for a physician to establish a solo private practice with competitive gross hospital income guarantee in the $300K net range plus all overheard expenses paid.  Could also be a salaried W-2 employed position with full benefits package including paid malpractice, cme, time off, major medical, dental, vision, 401K, etc.  Sign on bonus negotiable. A candidate who was fellowship trained in stroke, epilepsy, or sleep EMGG, would have to be willing to do general neurology and also recognize that there is not enough of a population to support doing too much specialization.  Digital remote work can be done.

Psychiatry, Eastern Utah:  Opportunity to join a group of three others.   The clinic holds contracts with several state and local agencies. Intensive outpatient program for adolescent substance abusers (on contract with the juvenile court) and are in the process of starting an adult IOP.  Candidate could do general adult, child, or forensic or any combination of the three.

Internal Medicine, Eastern Utah:  Internal Medicine physicians needed to join community.  Call 1:4, traditional position.  Could be employed or independent contractor.  Opportunity is for a physician to establish a solo private practice with competitive gross hospital income guarantee in the $180 – $210 net range plus all overheard expenses paid.  Could also be a salaried W-2 employed position with full benefits package including paid mal practice, cme, time off, major medical, dental, vision, 401K, and other benefits.  An attractive sign-on bonus is available as well as well as relocation.  Student loan repayment is an item for discussion as well.

Family Practice w/OB, Central Utah:  BC/BE family practice physician is sought to join a group of three BC family physicians.  Excellent income potential.  Physician must do OB and will participate in OB call as well as ER coverage.  Office space is in a new outpatient clinic built in 2006.  Employment, full benefits and relocation provided.

Family Practice, Central Utah:  Hospital needs one BC/BE family physician to join a group of three and replace a retiring physician.  Employment, full benefits and relocation.

Rheumatology, Northern Utah:  Need one BC/BE rheumatologist to join three others in a group practice.  Practice is exclusively rheumatology.  Call will become one in four, phone call only.  Provide consults to the hospital.  Group uses the hospitalist service for inpatients.  Clinic is located within hospital.  US and Dexascan, and six infusion bays.  Large referral base of primary care physicians.  Strong community need for this position.  Employment position, guaranteed salary with transition to compensation based on productivity.  Relocation provided.

Pediatrics, Eastern Utah:  Strong growth area.  Room for four Pediatricians.  Join a very well known and very respected single specialty group.  This peds position does require C-Section and delivery call coverage.  They are doing sick care, well care, urgent care, newborns, delivery, immunizations, laceration repair, and chronic health care.  The clinic has a well waiting room and play area, a sick waiting room and play area, 10 exam rooms, procedure rooms, tele-radiology 24 hours, and child friendly rooms with TV’s.  This position is an ownership position in the clinic.  The hospital is paying relocation up to $15,000 and a sign-on bonus of $25,000, and the group is putting up the salary plus productivity bonus.  The overall package including salary is in the $170K range.  The malpractice is paid; there is a benefits package that includes paid health, dental, and life insurance.  There is also call coverage differential, loan repayment is to be discussed.  Call will be 1:3 – 1:4.
